Some lucky people in Florida will have the opportunity to see the premiere of Julie Lequin’s 3 channel video projection Top 30. The anecdotal story teller who often falters on the line of misunderstanding (with English as her second language), pictorializes this memoir with drawings, which act as subtitles for her words. Here the stories follow the journey of the artist’s first 30 years, accompanied by a song and a stranger who’s age and voice represent that year in her life. The exhibition is at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum in St. Augustine through November 24th.
