J Tobias Anderson is a Swedish artist and filmmaker who graduated from the Royal Collage of Art in Stockholm. He often uses animation and found footage to explore ideas about film history and genre theory, often by quoting scenes from Alfred Hitchcock and his contemporaries, and often by focusing in on a specific cinematic convention. Yet what I like most about his animations is that he’s able to do all that without letting the quotation or the original film overshadow the end result. Instead, his videos stand on their own as utterly unique creations, while hinting at larger subjects. “The Wind” (2009) for example, quotes a classic film (you’ll have to figure out which one on your own), while making a poignant statement about the recent economic collapse. artist's description-
"These words are all true. These words are all used. This is the way the wind is blowing. This is the wind of the reality in which we live. All words are already spoken. All things are already said. Nothing is original. Nothing is new." J Tobias Anderson
