"You Will Never Be A Woman...", a video performance, features a conversation between two trans-identified people, Zackary Drucker and Van Barnes. Utilizing a coded language of bitchiness, resistance, and understanding, the syncopated language is as assaultive as it is poetic. Including vernacular "reads," candid dialogue, and improvised conversation, the piece addresses the characters' inter-personal relationship, and their cultural and political positions as "women."

Physical properties of digital video, such as interlacing, are used as structures for the horizontality of the blinds and of images in movement. Deploying documentary footage of a guided Neighborhood Fruit Forage, Double Standard takes the viewer in real time through a tour of Fallen Fruit's home neighborhood in Los Angeles. The two channels (from the perspective of the two cameras) are overlaid with a text block of comments from a public television video of the same event which had been posted on YouTube.The comments create an alternative, cruelly critical narrative to the events documented in the raw footage, with crude, homophobic and racist comments mixed in with a few acute observations.

For this piece, several single-sex pairs of men and women were asked to participate. There is a variety of participants: gay, straight, friends, strangers. For each scene of the video, a pair of men or women stand facing each other. They look directly into each other’s eyes as they slowly move closer and closer together (as if to kiss), until one of the two participants ‘chickens out’, and pulls away, or until they both kiss.

The video consists of two simultaneous projections, side by side, showing the co-creation process of new phrases for the national song. The protagonists of such action are African-Portuguese, and the main scenario is the Cova da Moura neighborhood in Lisbon. For 22 minutes, with both an artistic and documentary tones, themes related to identity, otherness, displacement, cultural difference and the feeling of exile and/or belonging are revealed and intensified.
